This spring for the first time ever, we are offering small group on-ice skills and GOALIE SKILLS!

For the first half of the session players will be split into position based groups. Goalies will be working solely with the goalie coach to work on goalie skills and players will be working in small groups with other coaches working on puckhandling.

Second half of the session skaters and goalies will come together. Players will focus on shooting (different types of shots and situational shooting) while goalies will be in net putting goalie skills into action.

SMALL GROUP SKATER SKILLS

The focus of our spring small group skills will be on puckhandling including stickhandling and puck control as well as shooting. The small group model will allow players to get more reps and individual attention.

Session maxed at 16 skaters, broken into two age groups of 8 skaters each

Player to Coach Ratio: 8:1 to maximize reps and individual attention

GOALIE SKILLS

We always want to create a space where goalies feel encouraged, supported, and comfortable to work on their skills. That is why coming this spring, we will be offering goalie-specific skills sessions.

Goalie skills will be maxed at 6 goalies

Player to Coach Ratio: 6:1 to maximize reps and individual attention

FOXBORO SKILLS 2026

Spring skills will be held this season out of Foxboro Sports Center and will be led by Coach Paige Harrington Cooney.
